Reservation

Reservations can only be made with a signed rental agreement, following approval by the Gîte de Vermalle. Upon receipt of your reservation and deposit, we will send you a reservation confirmation. All rentals are personal and cannot be transferred or subleased. Minors must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

The accommodation is not adapted for people with reduced mobility.

Payment Conditions

A deposit of 30% of the total price must be paid at the time of booking, made out to Gîte de Vermalle. The remaining balance is due 30 days before arrival, without reminder. If the balance is not paid within the specified period, we reserve the right to cancel your reservation, and the deposit paid will be retained by Gîte de Vermalle.

Modification or Cancellation of Reservation

• Reservation Modifications: Reservations can be modified up to 4 weeks before the start date of your stay, subject to availability at the time of modification.

• Delayed Arrival or Early Departure: No refunds will be issued for delayed arrival or early departure compared to the dates specified in your reservation.

• Cancellation by Gîte de Vermalle: In the event of cancellation of a stay for reasons on our part, except in cases of force majeure leading us to cancel for the safety of guests, the client will receive a refund of all amounts paid.

• Cancellation by the Tenant: In the event of cancellation more than 30 days before the start of the stay, the deposit will be retained by Gîte de Vermalle. In case of cancellation less than 30 days before the start of the stay, the full price of the stay will be due. We recommend purchasing cancellation and interruption insurance for this reason.

Damage

Equipment and facilities must be used in accordance with their intended purpose. Any damage to the premises, loss, or destruction of the furnishings will be the responsibility of the person causing it. The tenant is personally liable for all damage, loss, or deterioration to the accommodation caused by those staying with or visiting them.

The tenant must have civil liability insurance. A security deposit of €1,000 must be paid by the tenant upon arrival and before taking possession of the accommodation for potential damages. This deposit will be returned, after inspection, the following day at the latest. The inventory is generally completed on the day of departure before 12:00 PM, and the security deposit check is either destroyed or returned by mail at the tenant’s choice. The rental must be returned in the same state of cleanliness as at the start of the rental.

Pets

Pets are not allowed.

Noise and Disturbance

To minimize noise disturbances, please reduce noise levels after 11:00 PM. The gîte is located in a peaceful hamlet with a few houses, and any loud noise, shouting, or other disturbances can be heard from afar. Therefore, we ask tenants to respect the tranquility of the hamlet of Vermalle. Music around the pool is not permitted.

Swimming Pool

Children must be supervised by an adult. The pool is open from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

Property and Use of the Premises

Tenants are aware that the owners of the gîte live on-site in a separate building. They are present but will not interfere with the privacy of the tenants. They have a separate entrance and allow tenants full use of the outdoor amenities (terraces, gardens, and pool). The owners will be happy to provide advice, assist with organizing your stay, and share their local recommendations. If they are absent during your stay, they will inform the tenants in advance and provide all necessary instructions.
